| A big, big hitter, Smith could be a top-tier SEC safety. Will succeed in a system that will require him to be a force player, thus playing to his strength. Has the straight-line speed to play in the secondary but is often too high, which makes change of direction slightly difficult. Smith rushed for 1,580 yards and 25 touchdowns. He also hauled in a touchdown pass. The senior also returned an interception for a touchdown and accounted for 17 tackles per game. He was named First Team All-State LB and All-Area Defensive Player of the Year.
As a junior Smith had 182 tackles eight interceptions and rushed for 1,100 yards. |
