Biography:
“Carlos’ role as a leader will certainly be enhanced this year. I want him to continue to broaden his leadership. He is an upperclassman now and he should be able to reach down to our younger athletes and teach them what basketball is all about. In addition, he needs to play the whole game and not put too much importance on his outside shot. If he is hitting that shot he feels like he is playing well, but if he is not then he loses confidence. I want to change his thinking there. I want him to do more things defensively to enhance the play of his teammates thus helping out in areas other than scoring.” — USC Head Coach Dave Odom
