South Carolina picked up a commitment from South Gwinnett (Snellville, Ga.) LB Edward Muldrow Saturday as the 6-3, 188-pound prospect becomes the Gamecocks fifth commitment for the class of 2011 and the second this week.

Muldrow chose South Carolina over offers from Clemson, North Carolina, Florida State, Illinois, Mississippi, Mississippi State, and West Virginia.

Muldrow is rated a three-star prospect and the No. 35 OLB in the nation by Scout.com.

He joins WR K.J. Brent, ATH Martay Mattox, DE Mason Harris and S Jared Henry on the Gamecocks' commitment list.
