Steve Spurrier won his 100th SEC victory, and Captain Munnerlyn returned a blocked field goal 81 yards for a touchdown and set up another score with an 84-yard kickoff return as South Carolina defeated Kentucky 24-17 Saturday and extending the Gamecock streak over the Wildcats to nine straight. Full story up soon.

Stephen Garcia came on in relief of an ineffective Chris Smelley and led South Carolina four times into Kentucky territory in the last quarter and a half, earning him his first start next week against defending national champions LSU.

Kenny McKinley passed Sterling Sharpe as USC's all-time reception leader with 170 catches.

The Gamecock defense held Kentucky to one third down conversion out of 16 attempts.
