America's number one pre-game show, ESPN's College Game Day, will originate live from Columbia, SC this weekend, as it recognizes the South Carolina - Tennessee match up as the nation's premier game of the weekend.
GamecockAnthem.com's broadcasting partners at ESPN Columbia have confirmed that ESPN's College Game Day has selected Columbia, SC as it's destination for this weekend's match up between the
South Carolina
Gamecocks and the
Tennessee
Volunteers.
The show is hosted by Chris Fowler, alongside analysts Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit.
This will be the fourth time that Game Day has visited the South Carolina campus. The first visit came in November of 2001 for the South Carolina - Florida match up, the next trip came in September of 2004 for the South Carolina - Georgia contest, and the most recent visit came for the 2005 Thursday night season opener when the Gamecocks played host to Central Florida to kickoff the Steve Spurrier era.
This will be the Game Day crew's second consecutive trip to the Palmetto State, as they were in
Clemson
this past weekend for the Tigers showdown with
Georgia Tech
.
Rich Taylor of ESPN Radio's "The Sports Drive With RT," which is broadcast on 93.1 FM in Columbia, has again been asked to appear on ESPN Radio's "Gameday," which will air live from Williams Brice Stadium. He will appear on the show Saturday afternoon.
Todd McShay and Jerry DiNardo, the hosts of ESPN Radio's "Gameday", will be at the Gamecock Stop this Friday on the "Sports Drive with RT".
Kickoff between South Carolina and Tennessee is set for 7:45 p.m. (EST), and the game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
