Few programs can boast a single visit by the ESPN Gameday crew. The University of South Carolina is about to receive their second (additional information has now been added) ...

ESPN has announced that it will send it's Game Day crew to cover the contest between the University of South Carolina Gamecocks and The University of Georgia Bulldogs. This will be the second recent visit by hosts Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso as they bring their commentary and camaraderie to college football towns around the country – Saturday mornings on ESPN 10:30 a.m. EST Saturdays.

Gamecock Fans Encouraged to Wear School Colors to Home Games

Black is the color of choice for Saturday's evening game against Georgia.

The University of South Carolina Student Gamecock Club is promoting unity at this year's home football games and they are requesting that fans show their support by wearing the school's colors.

The Club is asking that all Gamecock fans wear garnet to games that begin before 5 p.m. and wear black to games that begin after 5 p.m. Therefore, Gamecock fans are encouraged to wear black to this Saturday's home opener against the University of Georgia.

The game, which is sold out, will be televised on ESPN at 5:30 p.m.

For the second time in three years, the University of South Carolina will host ESPN College GameDay. The show is set to broadcast this weekend prior to the Georgia game. The GameDay crew and set will be at the State Fairgrounds across from Williams-Brice Stadium.

The Georgia game is set to air on ESPN at 5:30 pm on Saturday and is sold out.

The following is information regarding GAMEDAY FOR FANS:

Friday, Sept. 10

4 pm - Fans invited to arrive for the taping of a segment for SportsCenter

5 - 6:00 pm - ESPN College GameDay crew tapes segment for SportsCenter

Saturday, Sept. 11

10 am - ESPN College GameDay crew tapes segment for SportsCenter

10:30 am - 12 pm - ESPN College GameDay live from COLUMBIA, SC!

Afternoon and evening - tape and live segments throughout the day from the set

The following is information regarding PARKING On Friday:

The State Fairgrounds parking lot will be open all day and close after the taping is complete.

On Saturday:

9 am - Gamecock Club members may use the following lots at this time. Proper parking pass MUST be presented:

- Stadium Lot

- Fairgrounds: Gates 6, 9 and 11 will be used at this time

- South Stadium Lot

- Key Road

- ETV 5

Also --- Gate 12 will be open for general parking at the State Fairgrounds ($10 a car). Pedestrian traffic will be allowed in Gates 6 and 11.

12:30 pm - Gate 7 and 8 in the Fairgrounds and the National Guard Armory will open.
