Columbia, S.C. - South Carolina's football team reviewed the film from Friday's scrimmage on Saturday morning and then went through a 90-minute corrective session at the practice fields. The team worked out in shorts and no pads ...

, who missed the last three days of practice while attending his father's funeral in New York, was back at practice Saturday morning.
Assistant head coach
Skip Holtz
was pleased with how the quarterbacks performed in Friday's scrimmage.
Dondrial Pinkins
was 11-13 for 188 yards;
Syvelle Newton
was 4-6 for 57 yards; and
Blake Mitchell
was 10-12 for 147 yards.
De'Adrian Coley, who had been playing linebacker the past year, was moved to defensive end early in camp and defensive coordinator Rick Minter says that has been a positive move. Coley is currently backing up George Gause at one of the end positions.
Here are some comments from assistant head coach Skip Holtz following Saturday's workout: "The quarterbacks played pretty well in the scrimmage. Everything was live and they took a few good hits. I think we have a few weapons on offense. Syvelle brings a whole new dimension to the offense. People have a tendency to stand up when he's in the game. I know I do. I think our running backs give us some flexibility. Coach Holtz has the final say so on all the play calling. I came down to the field in the second half of the scrimmage to be with the young quarterbacks. It was good that we had the run-through on Friday to work out some of the kinks."
