The event includes up to 20 European countries with a team of six players. All teams participate in two stroke play qualifying rounds, and the top eight teams qualify for quarterfinals. From there, the teams will play head-to-head in match play to decide a champion.
On its way to the final, France defeated England, 4.00-3.00, in the semifinals and Spain, 5.00-2.00, in the quarterfinals. Dreher, a product of Valbonne, France, carded rounds of 73 (+2) and 72 (+1) in stroke play before moving through match play with an undefeated record to help France claim the championship.
