Jalen Thompson has caught the eyes of many in college football. So much so, he's decided to postpone his commitment and keeping his options open.
The three-star recruit announced he was making his decision between Georgia, Florida, and Mississippi State, via Twitter, earlier this month. A day later, the Mobile (AL)-native decided to take a little more into consideration.
Thompson told Scout.com's Patrick Loney he had chosen Florida, but the Gators had received some news of a new commit in the same position. Therefore, the cornerback's scholarship offer was taken away.
Since Florida was out of the picture, Thompson was focusing his sights on Kentucky, Georgia, and Mississippi State.
Now, the St. Paul's Episcopal School all-star may have some more thinking to do. The Mobile cornerback is looking at a future visit to Kentucky and interest from Miami.
Thompson has added South Carolina to his horizons, as well. The three-star recruit made a visit to Gamecock-country last Friday. He's shown here sporting his garnet and black.

Also in attendance this past weekend, recruit Damon Arnette was said to announce his decision on Monday but is waiting a little longer.
Commitment pushed back.— ????Damon ???? (@da_arnette) June 24, 2014
Arnette states his top three land on South Carolina, Ohio State, and Kentucky. "All of these schools are pretty good," noted the 3-star prospect on his decision making process. But, the Ft. Lauderdale (F.L.)-native states that he's thrilled he will be having the chance to play Division-I football wherever he decides to go.
However, this commitment won't be made on a fan-based choice. The Florida-native grew up a Seminole fan. Arnette's decision travels a little deeper.
Defense is an extremely influential part of Arnette's decision, as well.
Making the switch from safety to cornerback, he says he's ready to execute his new position and play hard. The 6-foot-1, 185 pounder notes he's very physical and likes to press and wants to be a part of a program that fits his type of defense.
The University of South Carolina added three new commits to the on Monday. CB Jaire Alexander, TE Connor Redmond, and CB Octavis Johnson all announced their decisions to kick-off a good week for the Gamecocks.
