"I am going to commit after practice Thursday," Jay Woods told Scout on Sunday. "We will have a walk-through, then I will tell everyone where I am going to be playing college football at."
It is down to five schools.
"Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and Clemson are the five schools I will be choosing from."
Woods may not be exactly 100-percent yet on which school he will choose, but he has a good idea.
"I have a feeling on the school, but I will think about things a couple more days to make sure."
The 6-foot-2, 280 pound defensive lineman out of Jackson, Ga. is looking forward to making this decision.
"I feel like it is time to get this done," he said. "We have a scrimmage on Friday, so it is time to focus on the season. My senior year is about to begin and I don't want to be distracted."
He does not plan to tell the college of his decision right after he announces it on Thursday afternoon to the public.
Woods still will likely visit other schools after he commits to one of his top five later this week. California and West Virginia were the schools he mentioned as possibilities.
Scout ranks Wood as the no. 33 defensive tackle in the country.
