Daccus Turman, a rising sophomore student-athlete on the University of South Carolina football squad, has been suspended indefinitely from the team for violation of team and athletic department policy Tuesday afternoon ...

Daccus Turman, a running back from Washington, Ga., appeared in all 12 games in 2002 with two starts. He rushed for 179 yards and scored two touchdowns.

USC head coach Lou Holtz was out of town Tuesday speaking at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Camp in North Carolina and was unavailable for additional comment.
